Superbowl li party


For the first time ever during Superbowl festivities, Latin culture was celebrated during a charity event that highlighed the best art, music, dance and food from a diverse representation of Latin communities.
Latin Bowl took place on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 7 pm to 12 am at the CWA building in downtown Houston. The event featured dancing, and music to include salsa, samba, merengue, bachata, cumbia and more. Authentic cuisines from Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Spain to name a few. An open bar with general admission and free food in the VIP sections were also included.
In recognition of Superbowl, several active and retired NFL players were in attendance such as Oday Aboushi from the Houston Texans and Ricardo (Rico) Clark from the Houston Dynamo was a co-host.
Musical performers included internationally renowned Latin band, Crocro y su Tumbaká and Puerto Rican songstress, Isis “The Voice”. A Samba dance was performed by LD Dance Company.
